Bernie Moore

Bernie is a highly qualified, experienced, and trained painter following traditional atelier methods of working with oils.  He is also a qualified and experienced art teacher, offering advice and mentorship to other artists, and has produced a wealth of educational material for teaching and learning in schools, colleges, and open learning organisations.  He is an associate member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists winning the R.B.S.A. 1st prize 2010, and the G.M.C.Trust award in 2009.

Bernie's technique takes elements from the Flemish, Venetian, and French Academic methods, with innovations of his own, to produce outstanding and engaging work.  His innate appreciation of form is echoed in copious figure drawings and paintings where his use of line and brushwork are full of knowledge and feeling.  Generally, he prefers to treat more distanced and static moments of his subject in order to capture moods of reflection and contemplation.
